Candle Care
Candle Care & Instructions
Firstly, Thank You!
Every Candle we sell is made by hand in our studio in the Yarra Valley. Small batches, made with Love & Gratitude.
Candles need a little bit of TLC from you to get the best & cleanest burn from them.
First Burn: Always burn the Candle right to the edges the first time, creating a melt pool. It can take up to 3-3.5 hours. Natural Wax Candles create a 'memory' which reduces Tunneling & promotes an even burn time after time.
Trim: Wicks need to be around 6mm from the wax for an optimum burn every time. Trim wicks after each burn once the wax has cooled.
Subsequent Burns: Burn the Candle for 2-3 hours each time to ensure an even burn & long Candle life.
Storage: Natural waxes have a low melt point, its best to store them away from direct sunlight and in a cooler room.
Discard: Our wicks have a metal clip on the base, so to reuse the jar simply place it in a pot of simmering water to loosen the left over wax. Usually once the wax gets down to around 10mm from the base its time to retire it.
Safety Warning: never leave a burning Candle Unattended. Only burn within sight and on an even heat resistant unpainted surface.
Keep away from Flammable Objects, Children & Animals
Never pick up a Burning Candle as the jar may be hot & never burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
